Insight:
this show was a commissioned Work for One Accord productions. I was asked to create a story that “told the story of god’s healing through dance.” As me and the producer talked more we Both related to the humor, realism, and comMunity feeling of watching TyLer perry plays and agreed that the song selections should feel as such.
After just a few sessions with co-writer, cris eli blak, we were able find a very heartfeLt way of collaborating the dance styles, song selections, and rhythmic intention of the show.
