movies and shows that i enjoy from twilight and sex in the city, to once upon a time and emily in paris. I found myself Being frustrated in the lack of representation of black and brown people. Finding myself constantly thinking, “Ummm…excuse me. we exist in these worlds and stories as well!”
which is why shows and movies such as bridgerton, Anne boleyn, black lightning, Beyond the lights, girls trip, and the love birds, inspired me to create a concept that puts us in plots, stories, and world where we do indeed exist.
So, while reflecting on my life, and the life of many of my family, friends, and those I’ve had the privlage to experience today. Then there’s her… came to mind, then script.
